As of 00:01 on Tuesday 5th January 2021 England entered a third national lockdown which has resulted in the postponement of all non-elite football (games and training), including youth football. This postponement is, as is the new lockdown, due to end in mid-February so we will keep continuously up-to-date with information provided to us by the Sussex FA and make our players, coaches and parents aware of any developments.
We are incredibly disappointed to hear this news and the disruption will only add to that of November’s lockdown and the previous tier 4 restrictions. As a club we have now lost around a dozen winter training sessions at Culver Road as well as several match days, and our committee are discussing the impact this sporadic season has had on parents and players.
Our managers will continue working hard to ensure our players get the highest quality training sessions when we return and we hope this current season can come to a conclusion.
