As we get closer every day to Chr......, grassroots football has well and truly begun.
Coronavirus is still having a huge impact on the way we all live, and within grassroots football we are still a long way off returning to normal. Our COVID-19 risk assessment is still in place for all training and matches so please ensure you have read these before you attend. You will be asked prior to training and matches if you have read these guidelines and risk assessments in full to ensure the safety of players, coaches and officials from both Lancing Rangers squads and also of members of the opposition.
We ask everybody to self-assess for COVID-19 symptoms before every training session or match. If you are symptomatic or living in a household with possible or actual COVID-19 infection you must not participate or attend.
Players and officials should sanitise hands before and after a game as well as scheduled breaks throughout a game or training session.
Ball handling should be kept to a minimum with most contact via a boot and the ball disinfected in breaks of play.
Goal celebrations should be avoided.
Equipment should not be shared, and goalkeepers should ensure they disinfect their gloves regularly in breaks in training or matches and thoroughly afterwards. Where possible, coaches should only handle equipment in training.
Where possible, players, coaches and officials should arrive changed and shower at home. Use of changing and shower facilities must follow government advice on the use of indoor facilities.
Participants should follow best practice for travel including minimising use of public transport and walking or cycling if possible. People from a household or support bubble can travel together in a vehicle.
The NHS Track and Trace app is now available to download on all mobile platforms and we politely ask if you can download this prior to attending training and matches. A QR code will be available to scan at our training sessions and matches which will enable you to be kept aware of any contact you may have with a suspected COVID case.
We once again thank-you for your cooperation and we hope to see you Culver Road really soon for the start of our winter training sessions.
